I created the recovery set just a week ago and it worked fine until I updated the BIOS. My recovery discs worked fine until I flashed my BIOS with the one on the HP site. It's really ridiculous that HP gets away with doing that. The BIOS available on the HP website changed or erased necessary information that my recovery DVD's look for as soon as I flashed it the first time. I have reflashed my BIOS, but unfortunately the BIOS available on the HP website for my model doesn't include the information needed for the recovery DVD's to work.
